IV Therapy FAQs

What is IV Therapy?

  • IV therapy, or intravenous therapy, is a specialized treatment that delivers fluids and nutrients directly into a person’s bloodstream through a small tube called an IV (intravenous) line. This method allows for rapid absorption.

Does IV Therapy hurt?

  • Beyond the initial IV poke (similar to a quick pinch), the entire treatment is PAINLESS. Fear of needles? Don't worry the pinch will last about 2 seconds and we'll talk you through the entire service.

How often should I receive IV Therapy?

  • You should receive IV hydration every 2-3 weeks depending on your specific wellness goals.

Who starts the IV and administers the drip?

How long does IV Therapy take?

Does the nurse stay with me for the entire treatment?

  • Yes, the nurse will remain with you during the duration of the treatment.

How long does it take to feel the effects of IV Therapy?

  • The majority of clients report feeling the effects almost immediately, but it varies.

Do you service large groups?

  • Yes! Please contact us to book parties of 3 or more.

What areas do you travel to for home visits?

  • We travel throughout Westchester County, the Bronx, and Manhattan.

What is the travel fee?

  • The travel fee depends on your exact location, however, it ranges from $50-$100.

Post-Op FAQs

How many Post-Op massages do I need?

  • Every client's healing process is different so there is no magic number of massages. However, it is recommended to get 1 massage per day for the first week after surgery. The second week after surgery it is recommended to receive a massage every other day, with a maximum of 2 days between massages. After this you may need a massage 2-3x per week. The number of recommended massages is determined at the initial session.

What are foams?

  • Foams should be worn in conjunction with your faja. Foams should be positioned over lipo'd areas to help evenly distribute compression and minimize folds/creases. Foams are essential for any surgery involving liposuction as they help to reduce swelling by limiting the buildup of fluid.

What is an abdominal board?

  • An abdominal board helps flatten your stomach after liposuction, tummy tuck, or giving birth. Constant use allows the skin in the area to effectively reattach to the muscle and mold to your body.

What is a backboard?

  • A backboard helps to define and shape the lower back area. Constant use prevents the retention of fluid in that area.

How long should I wear my faja, foams, and boards?

  • For the first 3 months after surgery you should LIVE in your faja, foams, and boards- only removing them to receive  massages and when you shower. After the first 3 months it is highly recommended to continue wearing your faja for 12 consecutive hours a day until you reach 6 months post-op. The longer you wear your faja 24/7, the better!

What is the difference between a Lymphatic Drainage Massage and a Lymphatic Sculpt Massage?
